Sports blogging role utilizes quality content, social media, SEO and WordPress
Since October 2014 I have worked as edit or of an active college sports blog in the FanSided blogging network, allowing me to improve my abilities in content development, search engine optimization, WordPress management and social media skills. I write about Florida Gator football and basketball, with a focus on content that draws in readers with informed, interesting and unique takes on the topics fans are talking about.
Content included game coverage, opinion blogs, analysis pieces and slideshows that draw in readers. Blog posts covering breaking news topics like the search to hire a new football coach and football recruiting got upwards of 6,000 hits. Additionally, I managed an active Twitter account (@hailfloridahail) with nearly 3,000 followers and a Facebook page with 626 likes.
